Figuring Out Friendships: 

A Mother-Daughter Workshop to Confront Relational Aggression

Girls in grades 4-7 with their mother, guardian or female companion

What to expect:

A fun, hands-on, interactive workshop with breakout sessions for girls, moms and both!

Goals of the Workshop:

    • Empower girls to stand up for themselves and peers
    • Increase understanding in adult women of girl's social world
    • Encourage positive alliances among girls and women
    • Model healthy ways for girls to handle conflict and cope with stress
    • Promote communication among peers and family members
    • Discuss media interpretations of girls and women

    Workshop Participation Policy

    The Strong Moms Strong Girls program works to create an open and welcoming environment where everyone is invited to share freely and create new relationships. Therefore, it is our policy that friends do not sign up for the same workshop. We welcome your involvement in alternative workshops.

Strong Moms, Strong Girls is a collaborative effort between the University Center for the Child and Family and the Junior League of Ann Arbor.
